Non-standard parking, poorly maintained place, a lot of garbage in the area....the municipality should take care of it.
No access. Tried 10 different roads, all ends at a gate with no parking options. The pictures are from the nearest gate that google maps lead us to.
Super
A must visit place.
Park along the road, you will find a gate (see photo) and continue along the dirt road.
In the distance you will see a wall and a bell tower.
Continue until you reach the entrance under an arch.
From there on, go wherever you want
There are no indications but only remains, ruins and ruins.
Get lost in the woods and take photos..
You will hear the sound of the water...
Your visit is not over yet.
A river awaits you you can go in both sides.
There is a bridge
Enjoy your visit
You can do everything in an hour and a half
I recommend trekking shoes
A beautiful abandoned medieval village causes a malaria epidemic.
Access to the village is a bit complicated as there are no signs, the path that leads there has been closed by private owners (there is a pedestrian access next to the gate) so you have to park on the roadside on the right , then you have to walk about 1 km and you will arrive in a truly suggestive landscape enchanted by a fairytale.
The ruins of the fortified city of Galeria Antica stand on a tufaceous spur that rises above the stream (To go down to the mill on the Arrone river the path is uncultivated and full of nettles and brambles).
Worth the visit. Easy to get there from the gate on the street where you leave your car. The stream under the ruins has something disturbing about it with its black waters that end up swallowed by the stone. There are no ghosts, just a nice big cat that accompanied us throughout the entire excursion; next time I'll bring him a treat.
Beautiful, an enchanted place surrounded by nature, its history gives further charm to the place.
The sweet cat, guardian of the monument, will accompany you on an adventure to remember.
Unfortunately, however, the site was recently closed due to crumbling and unsafe walls, a real shame that there isn't enough information about it. Let's hope there is the possibility of being able to breathe the air of this legendary village.
A walk that I really enjoyed!
Immersed in nature and with a decidedly mysterious and suggestive connotation.
I absolutely recommend it also for unforgettable photographic shots.
There was also a cat who seemed to be guarding the dead city and who welcomed us and accompanied us on our walk almost like a tour guide, and then greeted us at the city gates.
I will never forget this lovely place ❤️
I highly recommend it!
